"Retina on the Thames" was born from the desire to bring together ophthalmologists from all over the world to share their expertise and update their knowledge in the field of clinical diagnosis and surgical management of retinal pathologies.

The aim of the conference is to combine theoretical and practical aspects of patients' clinical management. Pathophysiological and clinical aspects of the main retinal diseases will be examined, because over the last few years the treatment of these has evolved considerably. Thanks to a deeper knowledge of pathogenesis, the use of increasingly sophisticated medical technologies and the evolution of surgical techniques, better patient management has been achieved, from diagnosis to therapy - both medical and surgical.

During the conference, technological advances and novel techniques in the surgical field will be showcased, which will highlight effective and innovative approaches to the treatment of the major retinal conditions.
